Club Night Roundup: Greenskin Grudges, Weird War and Trouble at Sea
Twelve games across five systems made for a busy Monday at Crit Happens. This week brought battles in the trenches, three outings for Konflikt ’47, a mixed evening for the greenskins and a trip out onto the high seas. Here’s how the results landed.
Trench Crusade
Two games took us into the thoroughly unpleasant world of Trench Crusade:
- Pilgrims vs Plague – Faith against pestilence. No result reported for this one, but neither side was likely to leave the battlefield feeling particularly clean.
- Heretic Legion vs Sultanate – The Heretic Legion claimed victory here. A good evening for the forces of damnation, which is generally a bad evening for everyone else.
Konflikt ’47
Three games of weird war this week, with the Axis keeping busy and the Commonwealth having a difficult night:
- Axis vs Commonwealth – An Axis victory in the first matchup.
- Soviets vs Axis – Another win for the Axis, this time against the Soviets. Two results from two different fronts will make for a cheerful dispatch back to headquarters.
- Americans vs Commonwealth – The Americans took this one, leaving the Commonwealth with a few things to think about before their next deployment.
Warhammer 40,000
Four games in the far future, where the Orks demonstrated the full range of greenskin fortunes:
- Orks vs Dark Angels – Victory for the Dark Angels. Whatever the Orks had planned, the First Legion had an answer.
- Orks vs Ultramarines – Better news for the Waaagh! on this table, with the Orks beating the Ultramarines. The Codex Astartes presumably has a section for this sort of thing.
- Necrons vs Chaos – Chaos came out on top against the ancient machines. Reanimation would have to wait for another day.
- Death Guard vs Raven Guard – A draw between plague and shadow. Neither side could claim the win, leaving this particular argument unsettled.
Black Seas
Spanish Americans vs Royal Navy brought some naval action to the evening, with the Spanish Americans taking the victory. The Royal Navy will be hoping for a better result on their next outing.
Warhammer: The Old World
Orcs and Goblins appeared on both Old World tables, with very different results:
- Bretonnians vs Orcs and Goblins – A win for the greenskins. A difficult evening for Bretonnian chivalry and an excellent one for anyone who prefers solving problems with a choppa.
- Orcs and Goblins vs Wood Elves – The Wood Elves claimed victory in the second matchup. You can’t win them all, even with sufficient shouting.
Thanks to everyone who brought an army, a fleet or a suitably questionable battle plan. Fancy joining us for a game? Head over to our Discord, find an opponent and get something arranged for a Monday night.
