20th July 2026 - Club Night Report

Club Night Roundup: The Custodes Finally Win, the Skaven Do What Skaven Do, and Blkout Makes Its Debut

A proper full house this week. New games on the tables, ten games across the floor, five D&D groups downstairs including our Teen D&D group. Here's the rundown.

Blkout

Something new this week with a pair of Blkout demo games hitting the table for the first time. Task Force Boone took on the Ork Task Force and they split the games one apiece. A good showing for a game we hope to see more of. If you've not come across Blkout before, keep an eye out for it at the club.

Trench Crusade: Trench Ghosts, Pilgrims and the Black Grail

A three-way Trench Crusade game this week with the Trench Ghosts, the Pilgrims and the Black Grail all going at it. No real winner to report but that wasn't really the point. It was a learning game for newer players and by all accounts a great one. Trench Crusade rewards knowing the game and sessions like this are exactly how you get there.

Dropfleet Commander

Two games in orbit this week.

First, UCM vs Shaltari, and the Shaltari brought a dreadnought. That tends to change the shape of a game, and so it proved. A Shaltari victory.

Second, the Bioficers took on UCM and came away with the win. The Bioficers are putting together a decent record at the club.

Warhammer: The Old World

Wood Elves vs Skaven, and the rats won. As they usually do when given half a chance. The Wood Elves played well but Skaven have a way of making things go wrong for their opponents in the final turn, and this was no exception.

Warhammer 40,000

Five 40K games on the night, and a notable result among them:

Downstairs: RPG Night

Five groups running downstairs this week. The Adventurer's Guild, The Ashen Covenant and Peachfires: The Burden of Kings were all in session, alongside a fourth group and our Teen D&D group, who were very much doing their thing. It's always good to see the next generation of players getting stuck in.
